In 2009, AIDAluna was delivered to AIDA Cruises and embarked on its maiden voyage from Hamburg to Palma. On April 4, 2009, it was christened by supermodel Franziska Knuppe. By October of the same year, it was named "Ship of the Year 2010." The AIDAluna has two identical sister ships: the AIDAdiva and the AIDAbella.

Staterooms

AIDAluna features a total of 1.025 passenger cabins and can accommodate up to 2.050 guests when double-occupied. Passengers can choose from five different cabin categories, ranging from inside and outside cabins to the popular balcony cabins, and spacious suites that can reach up to 44 square meters in size.

Culinary

There are seven restaurants on board, including complimentary buffet restaurants such as the popular Markt Restaurant. Guests can enjoy Alpine specialties at the Almhütte. To experience the premium dining at the Rossini restaurant, a reservation is recommended.

Entertainment

In the Theatrium, guests are treated to nightly shows produced exclusively for the cruise line, offering top-tier entertainment. They can look forward to spectacular productions and impressive artistic performances. Live bands performing in selected bars provide musical entertainment and a pleasant atmosphere. 

Sport & Wellness

The spacious 2.300 m² spa area provides ample relaxation, while the weather-independent wellness oasis with a retractable glass roof offers additional comfort. Fitness enthusiasts can work out in the gym, run on the jogging track, participate in yoga taster sessions or book personal training sessions.
