The AIDAnova was handed over to AIDA Cruises in 2018. At the time of its commissioning, it was the fifth largest cruise ship in the world and the first to be fully powered by liquefied natural gas. For the impressive open-air christening show in Papenburg, a total of 25,000 tickets were available, which sold out within a day. The sister ship of the AIDAnova is the AIDAcosma, which was commissioned four years later.

Staterooms

2.626 cabins are available on board, providing space for 5.252 passengers at double occupancy. In addition to the newly offered single cabins, there are also interior, ocean view, balcony, and veranda cabins. The unique Penthouse Suite, which is the only one on board, spans two decks and has a cabin size of 53 square meters.

Culinary

With a total of 17 restaurants on board no culinary desire leaves unfulfilled. A special highlight is the à la carte and experience restaurant Time Machine on Deck 6. Twice each evening, passengers embark on a magical dinner time-travel journey.

Entertainment

As is customary with AIDA, evenings on the AIDAcosma are never dull. Guests can enjoy a diverse entertainment program in the Theatrium, featuring musicals, acrobatics, comedy and dance. In Studio X, passengers can experience popular TV shows as well as exclusive productions developed for the cruise line. The Beach Club offers live music, laser shows and silent discos.

Sport & Wellness

The Organic Spa on the AIDAnova spans an impressive 3.545 m² and offers a wide range of relaxation options. Guests can choose from up to 80 Body & Soul Spa treatments. Five different saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, a private sundeck, sun islands (cabanas) and a fireplace room provide an unparalleled wellness experience. For additional luxury, guests can book wellness suites featuring a private sauna, whirlpool, waterbed and private balcony. Overall, there are an astounding 21 pools on board.
